NAME: Kit
CONTACT: DM this journal any time you like! I might share my Discord if we hit it off.
ACTIVE TIMES/PACE: EST, can usually tag multiple times per day, but might miss some days!
BRACKETS/PROSE: Either is good; I try to match what my partner is doing.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Nothing inherently; it's more on how it's handled. Not even a little interested in shipping with minors, though.
IN CHARACTER
PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Sure! If it doesn't mean anything it's fiiiine!* (NOTE: Even Jax is not sure what he'll do if it means something.)
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Absolutely feel free, Jax is a cartoon character and can't really be hurt in any normal way.
RELATIONSHIPS: Sure! Feel free to flirt, Jax might be disparaging about it. But a ship with him certainly isn't impossible!
PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: Oh god, just ask me before doing this. His brain is, uh, Not Calm And Happy, and might not be what a psychic character is expecting. We could also roll with this being more difficult or impossible given that he's computer code.
MAGICAL INFORMATION: He's not magical but there's some weird stuff going on there. Specifically, he has a pretty good grasp of cartoon logic, and while he can't always control it there's a sort of Rule of Funny field around him that often works to his benefit (though sometimes to his detriment, or totally neutrally).
MEDICAL INFORMATION: He's a digital avatar of a cartoon rabbit. He has a heartbeat and a pulse, his pupils may or may not dilate normally if checked, he does breathe as a sort of automatic impulse, he can get tired and out of breath, he can eat, so on and so forth. But he has no digestive system, certain body parts are only there sometimes (bones and eyelashes!), things like his gloves are removable but also a part of his character model so he can still feel with them, he doesn't have a digestive system, he doesn't need to eat or drink or sleep or breathe to survive...
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Has trypophobia. Also don't let him catch you trying to be his friend for real-for real. (He's trying to get a bit better about that last part.)
OUT OF CHARACTER
BACKTAGGING: Always!
THREADHOPPING: Sure, but don't be rude about it.
FOURTHWALLING: Ask me first; I'm not necessarily opposed!
NOT INTERESTED IN: Any "escaping the circus" scenarios, mostly because I don't think that's possible. Perma-death, including perma-abstraction. Ships with canonmates other than Pomni, Caine, and maybe Ragatha.
THINGS TO NOTE: I headcanon that: Jax's home life turned real bad and he ran away, and doesn't want to leave the Circus because he hated his life outside of it and thinks the real world sucks and is dangerous and unpredictable. Deep down he blames himself for Ribbit and Kaufmo's abstractions; he mostly wants to push people away to protect himself from the pain if they abstract, but he also doesn't want them to hurt if/when he does, buuut he also kind of hates the idea that he won't be missed or remembered. Ribbit is the one who gave him the name Jax. After Episode 7 his worldview and "we're all archetypes" coping mechanism have been pretty much shattered. I'm also playing him as a trans egg who is very, very slowly and uncertainly approaching the edges of exploring femme things. (She'll get there!)
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
VISUAL: Purple cartoon toy rabbit with pink overalls and yellow gloves! Lanky, but only about 5' tall not counting his ears (with his ears he's 6'2½"). Most of the time he talks through his teeth as if they can't move at all; in fact it kinda looks like his character model has three layers: the clothing on top, the purple rabbit skin under that, and a weird simple yellow figure under
that. Rarely he does open his mouth fully and his teeth get weirdly sharp. Said teeth and his eyes are yellow; his pupils are square and usually fairly large (Look Out when they're tiny! and occasionally when they're huge!), except if he's having a panic attack, which point they turn scribbly. His eyes can literally turn into spirals when he's dizzy. His eyebrows are often not actually on his face. When he closes his eyes or mouth they're practically invisible. He's gotten his tail back, so he does have that now! It looks like he has zero fur, with his purple parts being more like rubber -- especially if he gets wet, at which point he turns
upsettingly kinda shiny.
AURAL: Michael Kovach! Here are
all of his voice lines from Episode 1.
OLFACTORY: He actually doesn't smell like much, weirdly enough. If you get really close he smells a little bit like a bunny and a little bit rubbery, but it's all pretty faint.
DEMEANOUR: Usually casual, but with pretty good posture unless he's really worn down. Sometimes casually leans against shit or slouches, though, or sticks his hands in his pockets. At his most stressed he starts thumping one foot against the floor as a rabbity anxious tic, but that one's rare.
